Alligator Flag Flower

The Alligator Flag plant is very common in the wetlands and swamps in Florida. It's a large-leafed plant that's a native species whose roots are underwater and their stalks hold broad leaves up to 2-3 feet long and several inches wide. In contrast to the large leaves, these flowers are tiny, measuring leads than an inch in length on stalks of many feet in length.
